Denali National Park is located in Interior Alaska. The Denali habitat is a mix of forest, tundra at middle elevations, and glaciers, rocks, and snow at the highest elevations. Presently, the park hosts more than 400,000 visitors who enjoy wildlife viewing, touring, hiking, and cycling. Wintertime recreation includes dog-sledding, cross-country skiing, and snow machining. There are 39 species of mammals, 169 species of birds, 14 species of fish, and one species of amphibian known in Denali.
